Thank you for purchasing an Electroconcept product.
Please read carefully the following guide before using DMX control board for LED Strips 12 channels 10 A 16Bits RISCV.

Electroconcept can’t be held responsible for any damage caused by a misuse of any kind such as loss of utilizing, consumable destruction (tapes, CDs, LED Strips, etc.) or any other financial loss due to an inappropriate use of our products or any impossibility to use them; so as any wiring mistake during the installation.
Guarantee:
Electroconcept products benefit from a two years manufacturer guarantee (electronic components only, except consumable ones e.g plastic components). The product must be returned to Electroconcept postage paid and in its original package. If not, the package will be refused and returned to sender. Electroconcept company is in charge of the product restitution.
Are excluded of the guarantee benefits the followings : any damage caused by carelessness, mistake, lack of maintenance by the user (broken, burned, heated, soaked, silted up, etc.); wrong installation or misuse by the user.
All our products are tested before sending to buyers. Modifications of any kind are at your own risk and out of guarantee benefits.

Connection tips #
Connection for a total intensity lower than 45 A
To power the board, the V+ and V- must be connected to the connector Inputs as shown on the connection diagram below.
The LED strips V+ can be connected directly to the board.

Connection for a total current exceeding 45 A
To power the board, the V+ and V- must be connected to the connector inputs and to the 3 mounting holes as shown on the connection diagram below.
The LED strips V+ are not connected directly to the board but are connected directly to the power supply.
In addition, GROUND (GND V-) reinforcements are required on the mounting holes.

Address and fixtures settings #
To get access to all the board settings, connect the board via USB on your computer and open the following webpage in your browser: https://dmx-tools.electroconcept.fr
Click on Connect and select your device in the pop-up window, then click on Connect.



DMX TOOLS settings description:
- Address (put 0 for Dip Switch): The DMX address can be configured via software on dmx_tools. In case you wouldn’t want to use the Dip Switch, put all Dip Switch buttons on 0 except Dip Switch 1 on ON, and write directly the wished DMX address in the box. Otherwise, leave all buttons on 0 and use the Dip Switch.
- Mode: choice of mode 12, 14, 18 or 24 channels.
- Gamma (10 (for 1.0) to 40 (for 4.0)): allows you to select the Gamma slope for the LED Output response.
- Fade (no fade 0 to max fade 6): allows to choose an interpolation of values between 0 and 6 between two DMX values.
- Out frequency: PWM output frequency depending on the value entered, ranging from 1 to 125.
- Synchro strob: allows the strobe to be restarted each time its frequency is changed and synchronises the strobe between boards
- Device Name (63 max): choice of board name.
- Reset All (APPLY TO CONFIRM): back to default settings.
The Gamma value ranges from 1.0 to 4.0. The values entered range from 10 to 40 to allow for adjustment to one decimal place.
For example: 18 = 1.8.
1.0 corresponds to a linear slope and 4.0 to a very strong slope.
Fade values range from 0 to 6.
0 means no interpolation and 6 means very strong interpolation.
Smoothing between values allows for a more nuanced effect, even with DMX interfaces that send few DMX frames per second.
The formula for the PWM output frequency is as follows:
Final frequency = 140625 / divider
Example: for a frequency of 15 kHz, enter 9 or 10 to obtain a frequency close to 15.625 kHz or 14.062 kHz respectively. (140625/9 or 140625/10).
DMX address settings via Dip Switch #
DMX addressing can be done using the Dip Switch on the board. In this case, leave the parameter on dmx_tools at 0. DMX address 0, i.e. all Dip Switch buttons set to OFF, is a test mode. This test activates all Outputs at 50% power. It allows you to check all connections without the need for a DMX controller.

Modes #
By default, DMX control board for LED Strips 12 channels 10 A 16-Bits RISCV is delivered set to 14 channels mode.

DMX channels description of 24CH mode. 24 channels 8-Bits Fixture:
Each Output is set to 2 channels, the first channel is for the most significant bit (MSB) and the second channel is for the least significant bit (LSB).

DMX channels description of 18CH mode. 18 channels Fixture:
Each group has its own dimmer and strob.

Usage #
Ensure that your wiring complies with the connection diagram.
When you switch on your device, the board will automatically check that a DMX signal is present. Once this is done, the DMX LED should light up in time with the DMX frames.
Using your console, depending on the operating mode (Fixture) and the assigned address, you can now control the Output levels of your DMX control board for LED Strips 12 channels 10 A 16Bits RISCV
